Roxy's Diary
Dear Diary:

Here goes and here I lie, stretched out like a cat taking its leisure in a comfortable place. My comfortable place is a shop called "Khakis" in a town called Irvington. (Who is Irving? I wonder.) I work for the Boss, who sells elegant men's fashions to elegant men and their significant others. Mine is the perfect vantage point for watching life's parade pass by. Of course, sometimes life walks right through the front door, and I really get a good look. I'll tell you everything I see, Diary, but only when the Boss isn't looking. After all, my job is to look pretty. And, I'm good at it!
Dear Diary:

He is the neatest man. . . reminds me of my father. He visits often to look around, have a cup of coffee, or just site and reminiscence with the Boss. The stories I overhear are entertaining, but also conjure up images of yesterday and dreams of tomorrow.

The Boss confesses that this sage ole man was responsible for the philosophy behind our store, Khakis. His strategy in life was to always aspire to live simply and elegantly. This credo has been embraced in presenting the simplest and most elegant clothing and gifts for discerning men in our comfortable and fun shop.

Stop by to see us. . . take a tour. . . let's see what we can learn from each other.
Dear Diary:

I love parades. . .  particularly when I'm the star! The Boss let me have his sports car for the afternoon and I was rolling tough, all the folks eyeing me and waving.

My favorite customer was there sporting his new Ike Behar shirt and looking fine. . .is his wife jealous? For the parade, the concert, all the fireworks and a wonderful, relaxed 4th of July, I thank you Irvington!

The Boss . . . I get time off for the parade but now I'm scheduled to work on Friday nights til 8 . . . when will I ever get out again?
Dear Diary:

I demand a raise! I work long hard hours and always manage to keep a smile on my face. The Boss couldn't possibly have any complaints about my work . . . all I hear is flattering compliments. . . plus, I'm sure it's my influence that keeps our business booming! He even makes money off me . . . he charges more for the clothes I model just because I've worn them.

Kinky! (Once he even thought of clothing me only in the new RICHEL ties from Spain).

Yes, a raise is in order. When you see the Boss, will you tell him I'm deserving of more money or at least more fringe benefits?
Dear Diary:

Got the raise. Thanks Boss! What a wonderful life. . . living on the Northern Neck,, great job being in charge of displays, meeting many interesting people. . . what else could a girl desire?

Only one small favor please. . . watch your hands! I'm tired of being patted, fondled, and yes, pinched. There is one guy who came back three times pretending he couldn't decide which of the linen shirts from Madeleine Finn he liked. Each time he had to stroke me (when his girlfriend wasn't looking) as if it was for good luck. When he finally made his selection, the Boss thought the twinkle in his eyes was from the beautiful shirt. . . but I knew better.
